This antique 55" Schaeffer upright piano has a unique case design and gorgeous wood grain that you don't find in modern pianos. It was restored previously at some point, obscuring the serial number, but circumstantial evidence points to roughly 1905 as its date of manufacture. The piano was lovingly maintained throughout its life, as there are no debilitating soundboard cracks, and no bridge or pinblock issues, which is exceedingly rare for an antique piano.
We thoroughly restored this instrument, with new bass strings and tuning pins, new hammers, new dampers, new keytops, fully rebuilt action (all new leather, felt, and pinning). We stripped and refinished the case with semi-satin lacquer. The tone is boomingly full and the touch is exquisite. Imagine this piano as the centerpiece of your basement bar.
