This "low mileage" console piano had remarkably little wear in the action parts. It probably served as a beginner's piano for several months and then the student quit. It apparently sat in the owner's basement for decades thereafter. When we acquired it, the finish was a lifeless dull brown. We stripped and refinished it with a tung oil/varnish blend. Suddenly the rare "tigered" walnut was brought to life--it almost glows. This piano is gorgeous, and plays beautifully with a crisp clean sound and a perfectly smooth touch.
